I am more than a stressed mother with 5 kids and I need to relax. At first, I was thinking of going back to the gym but then I realized that I should think of something new. I want to try Yoga. I was browsing the web and checked Bikram Yoga Manila. I might check it out one of these days.

Day 4 Water Therapy Monday
Posted by magicalfootsteps at 02:55 0 commentsI just realized that for the rest of my shift @ the office.. I just drink lots of water.. did not eat at all.. It felt good and refreshing at bit of full and relaxed. I researched a bit about the advantages of water therapy.
1. The higher the consumption of water, the lower the amount of fat deposited
Studies have proven that a low consumption of water allows more fat to be deposited instead of being metabolized into energy.
Cholesterol forms the cell walls: the extensive manufacture and deposit in the cell membrane is a natural part of the design to protect cells against dehydration.
2. Water regulates all bodily functions, including the activities of circulating and dissolving.
When the body is dehydrated, the lipids & cholesterol in the cell wall tighten up the wall and more cholesterol is deposited to prevent water from escaping from the cell - Dr Batmanghelidj M.D.
3. Drinking water also ensures the proper work of muscles; this again prevents deposition of fat.
Every enzymatic and chemical reaction of the body occurs in the presence of water. In addition, our bodies' proteins and enzymes are more efficient in solutions of lower viscosity (diluted), thus helping in weight loss and fitness.
4. Water helps to flush toxins out of our system; The more toxins in our body the less capable it is to lose weight.
As shown in the Nutrition page, toxins are directly related to: processed food, chemical ingredients and flavors, chemically treated soil and plants, farmed animals products, not to forget water pollution...
Weight loss is not about fat - it's all about acid...
Have you fallen prey to any food myths lately? Would you like to know some of the untold truths behind several of the most popular ones? - Read more about Hypes and misinformation in Losing Weight diet propaganda
Toxins produce acid in our body, changing the natural acid/alkaline balance:
So forget about fat grams, cholesterol, carbs, and calories: reaching your ideal weight is simply a matter of maintaining the delicate pH balance of the blood"
In his revolutionary book, Dr. Young explains which foods will help you obtain the best results and how the right type of water can make a big difference.
5. Drinking water suppresses our appetite.
It is a fact that drinking water suppresses our appetite (we often confuse thirst with hunger) - but skipping meals is not a solution for weight loss.
Water is not food and you should eat regularly and especially you should not skip breakfast if you want to lose weight. Water's role is to break down the food elements, aid digestion, transport nutrients throughout the body and flush out toxins.

Day 3 A Bubbly and Yoshi Morning
Posted by magicalfootsteps at 17:25 0 commentsWhat could possibly make your day sweet after a not so good morning at home?
It is my off @ work and I decided to just spend the day at the Mall. Finally, I stayed at Bubble Tea and ordered a Large Royal Milk Tea with extra Bubbles (P145). Sweet!
Another thing that made my day is having lunch at Yoshinoya for FREE! Yes, For FREE. It is actually free because of my RCBC Bankard Credit Card Slip that costs more than P1000 which you can exchange for a meal at Yoshinoya. Thank you RCBC! Yum Yum!

This netbook is good for personal use but not for a typical working person who needs to open more than one window. The 500gb memory is an advantage as well. Think twice before you swipe.

Day 1 Shih Tzu Smile
Posted by magicalfootsteps at 23:15 0 commentsThis is Hachi, my 6 month old Shih Tzu who recently had his hair shaved. We are currently taking care of his allergy (yeast infection) that is why he looks more of a poodle. I have a big gut feeling that he really is smiling at me.
